Default 35's on stock 17" wheels...what tires do I get?

This may be a newb question, but I have a JK with the S Package... I think it comes with 17" wheels...

I want to get 35's with a 2.5BB and spacers, but I'm confused as to what size tires to buy...does 315/70/17 sound about right?

I also want to keep my stock wheels...I like them...

Thanks in advance!

Well, yeah, that metric size would be about right, but also consider that for 17's....they now just label a lot of the tires as
35 x 12.5/17's....so you can drop the metric guessing.

If you want to keep the alloys you have because you like them...a 12.5" wide section width is happier with less back spacing that the stock rims' 6.25"....so, a 1.5" spacer set (~$ 50/rim) is something you will need to make some more rooom to clear inboard components.

Enjoy!

Hey, that looks good! So what type of MPG are you getting with the 35s, that's the only thing holding me back from getting them...

I'm already getting a horrible 15MPG...

Does a 315/70/17 actually count as a 35"? Isn't that more of a 34"?

Well, I have a 6-speed but I'm not sure the gears...I got a basic X with the S-Package, so I'm assuming 3.21, right?

I'm not even getting 20 on the highway now, and I think I have 265s. Wow!
