I had 4 washers on each side with 4.75 of backspacing and still rubbed. You have a 14.5 wide tires so more washers may be required which I wouldn't do because of the small amount of thread on the bolt. You can try the washers first if that doesn't work you'll either need new wheels or spacers

why would that make it not wheelable? wider tires help a ton offroad. personally my next tire will be at least 13.5 wide...

I do plan on wheeling it. I like a wide wheel. Have always ran 10" wheels on my jeeps. This will be the first jk with tens and the first time with 14.50's. Which is the reason for the thread. I have the wheels and this is the only 37 I can find. I wish it was a 12.50 but its not.

it will wheel fine. Just throw some spacers on also. in fact id bet it will grip up better than a 12.5 in about everything but snow.

I'm going to take this out of context, but simply because I'm a little jealous.

10" wides are the way to go. I had them and enjoyed the stability.

You can try going with a 17" rim for more tire choices. There are other issues with that wide and heavy of a tire too. Ball joints, Hub bearings and inner C's will see a lot of stress. Not to mention you may be too wide to fit down some trails.

Correct me if I'm wrong.. I assumed that 10" wheel with 14.50 tire would put too much stress on wheels/ studs. Maybe not, I just though it did

while i am a fan of getting set up to properly run a set tire size it really depends on how he wheels. Ive seen people run 35x13.5 on a stock tj with dana30/35 with no issues at all. He runs with us and buggies. As for width i doubt hell have any problems. Im running about 2.75 backspacing and almost a 13" wide tire. Out here and back in wisconsin I have never had a problem with my width and wouldnt hesitate to go wider. But as i said this all depends on the trails he runs and how he wheels.

If the deal works out. I feel I have to try. I can always go back to 35's but you don't see to many deals on 37's. I'll make them work. Thanks for the advice. I'll post pics if it works out.

I call nonsense on that, but do agree he should make sure it can hold up to HIS style wheeling. Wheels and studs will be the last of his issues id bet.
