Ok, just looked it up... I was wrong for sure. The 786 is the the same as the 1310 or the 297. So the axle shafts on the JK are stronger. But the ring and pinion are the same size in terms of dimensions.

Have you actually seen a bent D30 or D44 housing yourself? Or a bent C?

I have seen 2 D30 that were in accidents that took direct hits to a front wheel and that didn't bend them just broke brackets. I have seen only one bent D30 in a Jeep that had been jumped repeated ..
Agreed. My d30 took a direct hit from the left front tire. And all I did was need a new wheel bearing. I rock crawled and hard wheelin with my d30...5.13. ....and 35's no problem. A 37x12.50x17 tire weighs about 84lbs.....how much does a 35...not that much difference. But steering upgrades are needed.
Plus the year of the jeep as well as if it's a 2dr or 4dr and if it's an Automatic or Manual. Just also think about that before answering or at least give a full run down of what you sit on before saying anything.
