Default 37's on a Saraha

Hey gang,

My wife is seriously considering joining the Jeep family. She wants to get rid of her '05 Silverado Z71 that has 9" lift and 37's. Now, here's the thing. She is a redneck woman in every sense of the word.

First words outta her mouth were... "can I still have 37's". I mean, don't get me wrong, I love that she knows what she wants, but I am concerned that she'll be disapointed with them on her Jeep. This is strictly a Pavement Princess. I mean strictly! We have my JK for bangin' around in. Gearing aside... will the Dana 30 stand up to mall crawlin'. Thanks guys... and gals.

yes, a d30 will hold up to 37's especially if you don't do any wheeling. if you do some light wheeling, upgrade the shafts to chromoly and you'll be fine. i am running 37's on my tj now and it still has a d30 front axle and so far, i haven't had any problems with it and i do more than just light wheeling with it - just easy on the skinny pedal

You should be fine. Wish my wife asked me when I got the Jeep if we could put on 37" tires. One day, one day

I have been running 37" tires for over 30,000 miles now on my sahara and have had no problems and I haven't exactly been doing any light wheeling I have been pretty hard on them. I have however swith out to chromoly shafts front and rear

Running 37's for a year and a half with no problems, It is my daily driver and run it down to Moab and have run it on trails taking it fairly easy. I have yet to change my gears, not that I dont plan to, its just not the priority I thought it would be. I have the Auto and I think you you would find that it will handle the 37s easy.
