4.10 or 4.56 ratio on 33 Inch Tires
I got some 33's and a 2.5 inch lift. Current gear ratio is 3.21 so i have no power whatsoever. I am getting either 4.10 or 4.56 gears for the same price. Which ones would be better for me for optimal gas milage. I dont really plan on getting bigger tires any way. thanks!

I don't know about optimal, but I have 4.10's and 33" duratracs with the superchips programmer. I get 21-22 mpg on the highway 16-17 mpg on the street and love it.

I have 4.10 and 33s. It's fine and I am happy with it.
But if I were buying, I would go 4.56.
Mpg 4.10
Drivability 4.56
Coming from a 3.21, you'll be happy with either.

You have an auto. Higher gearing (numerically) is better than lower.
At the top of this Modified area you will find a sticky for some FAQ's. In the Drivetrain area, there are some great rpm charts. Go measure your tires and plug some numbers in. Be sure to use measured height, not the mfg's propaganda height. A good rpm range is generally 2400-2600 at 70, as it gets the rpms and HP up enough to keep you in overdrive without downshifts, and the rpm is not so high that you lose mpg's.
So my opinion:
4.88 if you have absolutely no intention of ever going to larger tires.
5.13 if there is any chance at all of moving to 35's.

I've got 4.10's and 33's i'm quite happy with this setup, I couldnt imagine going any higher than 4.10's (MAYBE 4.56's) shifts between the first 3 gears is quite short now. As already stated tho, if you plan on going to 35" tires or bigger 4.88's might be better.

For you Manual guys:
Assuming 4.10 gears and 32" actual height tires
Manual = 2533 rpm @ 70 mph
Auto = 2080 rpm @ 70 mph
Assuming 4.88 gears and 32" actual height tires
Manual = 3014 rpm @ 70 mph
Auto = 2476 rpm @ 70 mph
Your gearing advice really doesn't apply to guys with auto's...
