I've got 5.13 on my 4 door with 35's and its fine, have had no issues... Wish the gutless motor had a bit more poop though

I did exactly that, and could not be happier. Gears were the best mod by far. I went with 5.13s, ARB f/r, and 35s. I have a Dana 30 too BTW.

Just go easy (e.g. don't lock the front, crank the wheel, and floor it).

BTW I had some serious driveshaft balance issues. EVO graciously replaced my driveshaft with a spare take-off and adjusted my caster. Issues solved. As Eddie said, your DS will be spinning a lot faster (actually about 50 percent) so any caster or balancing issues will be magnified.

Have fun!

Anyone on here have an automatic, 35's and 5.13 gears?!? I was wondering real time RPM on the highway! I don't do much freeway riding and I'm trying to decide between 5.13 or 5.38! I had someone last week give me RPM figures with 5.38 I am looking to see if I can get some figures fr 5.13

Remember to use 'actual' tire height with those charts, and not the MFG's specs. Your tires could easily be 1-1.5 inches shorter than the spec'd height.

The chart that Eddie posted is spot-on. I took a note of my RPMs today while driving at 75ish on the freeway. RPMs came out to about 2700.

I have a JKU with auto, 35s, and 5.13 gears. I was afraid that my RPMs would be too high, but in retrospect I made the right decision. I was considering 4.88 until Wayolifette said to go with 5.13s.

Gears were arguably the best/most favorite mod I have made to date. That being said, Superchips (or equivalent) is crucial with any re-gear or change in tire diameter if you have an automatic transmission. You need to correct your shift points! Even with a manual transmission, it's a good idea to have your mileage and speedo correct.
