Default 5" lift for a day

I currently have a 2.5" tf coil lift on my jeep and I have all four 2.5" tf bb spacers and i was wondering if i could instal them for a day and drive like 5-10 miles to see if i like the height and the look of 35's with that much lift. I wanna try this bc it shouldnt cost anything except my time. Will this hurt anything.

Wouldn't jack stands and a floor jack accomplish the same?

You could never get a proper estimate of how your driveability is, since when you go with that much lift, you will need modifications to your driveline and adjustments made as well. Driving around as is will probably suck, but feel great after the additional adjustments/mods.

Yeh it could rip your front driveshaft boot also if you plan to keep it you will need brake line extensions and new control arms and a new front driveshaft

That's enough lift to do some damage to the stock drive shafts even in a short period. Your pinion angle also won't give you a good idea on feel without adjustable control arms and 5" of lift is a ton for 35s.

I'm running a 4" lift + 1.25" body lift...Yes you will get blown all over the damn place on the highway if there are 15mph gusts. It's scary as hell to drive in 35mph-55mph gusts in the Columbia gorge, but I do it. At times I can get blown 1/4-1/2 into another lane if I'm not constantly correcting. It's a PIA on those days

Here's how it looks>

Unless you play in the mud a lot I would rec. against lifting the Jeep that high. My COG blows in off-camber situations, but I'm usually in the mud holes or doing straight ascents/descents, be careful whipin' it in corners too. I'm pretty much required to drive like a grandma on road.

I recommend you find someone in your area with the set-up you are looking for and see if you can test drive their rig. I'm sure they'll let you know everything the like and don't like about a lift of that size.

Quick question that kinda relates haha. I'm putting the BDS 4.5" BDS suspension lift on and it BDS says that the front driveshaft is maxed out so it is recommended to get a new front driveshaft for OFF ROAD use. Does that mean that my driveshaft is ok for on the road? How long do I have before I would really need one? I'm doing it at a buddys house with a lift and want to make sure I'm not stuck there because I need a driveshaft haha.
