Default Adjustable Control Arms.

So the shop got my T&T Truss installed, and rebuilding the front axle tomorrow.

Problem is we did not read the fine print that says “adjustable control arms are highly recommended”. I am tapped out for cash just had them re-gear, install two ARB lockers, and of course the truss system. So my Jeep is sitting on their lift and is not looking good for reassembly. They have Rough Country control arms in stock and said they can install them but to me Rough Country is like the Dollar Store of Jeep parts and I do not want them on my Jeep. I really don't have a good option otherwise. I can have them leave out the front ARB locker and do a good set of control arms, but that is almost counter productive because I will have to just have it installed later and pay for labor vs. now there is no labor fee because they are doing gears.

Anyone running Rough Country control arms? If so how are they?

Skip the control arms until you save up for the ones you want. You can change the arms in your driveway in a few hours. You probably can't install the locker yourself. I picked up some barely used RK arms for about half price of new. Start trolling the forums for arms.

Well the problem with waiting and getting what I want really cant do. The stock control arms will not work with the truss. My Jeep is on the lift taking up a bay in their shop so something has to be done and Rough Country is all they have in stock. They can order me Rock Krawler ones and get them but that bumps the cost up. As is I am at $6089 for the lockers, gears and truss install. I also had to do a set of Quick Disconnects due to the stock ones would not work with Truss. That was $150 added on now a few hundred more.. means I have to use a little credit was trying to cover it in cash.

I wouldn't put something I didn't want on after after spending $6K on what I did want. Better to suck it up on the credit card and have them order what you want.

Your first post said recommended. Do the stock arms hit the truss? If so, all aftermarket arms may not fit. I'd call TNT and see what they had to say. I wouldn't spend the money if I didn't like the parts. I'd rent a car before I did that.

Well I am waiting to see what happens tomorrow. Seems to have a lot of mixed info. I have tried to call TNT several times today with no answers.

But the shop that is doing the work comes highly recommended, I have talked with them a few times they are great folks, really helped me pick what would work best for what I do. Also they have been in business for 20 years so they would know better than most IMO.

The T&T shop was closed today and I think through Monday. Their daughter got Married today. My experience with them has been nothing but great and their products fit amazingly well. Call them on Monday and they will answer any question you have.

OK cool thanks for the heads up on that. When I called to talk about the Truss they seemed cool, and he said they had one built ready to go, so I called the shop and told them I would go with it and they ordered. Either way at this point I will go either way, stock Control arms if they fit or Aftermarket. I have 600 dedicated to spend now so if the stock ones work I can maybe get skids

Figured why not was already doing lockers, gears, originally I was under the impression it was only going to be the truss no relocation brackets. But the shop ordered it we everything on it, no big deal I like it, but with all the reports of bent D30 I figured why not while I am there and I have yet to see a bent D30 know of people running 37" on stock with no support for years and came off alignment machine as spot on. I think a lot of it is hype but I am sure there has been several cases of bent housings just depends on how you drive it I guess. And yes I do plan on running 37" and upgrading axle shafts.
