AEV 2.5 vs. Teraflex 2.5 w/ Bilstein shocks

Which would you prefer? I know this is an opinion based question but is AEV really worth the $300 difference? Thank you all.

I had AEV 2.5 with Geo brackets installed last month. The ride is smooth, in fact it is better than factory in my opinion. I went back and forth on this one for awhile and decided to go with AEV based on the number of great feedback. Also, I was more concerned about daily driving on road which swayed the decision. I read that if you plan on doing cmore rock crawling or aggressive wheeling there are better options. For expedition trailing and road handle AEV was the choice.

I am super happy and wouldnt change a thing. Good luck!!!

X2 on what he said ^^^. I love my aev lift, also with the brackets. The ride is sooo much better at any speed. A lot of people running the TF lift end up with front lower control arms to dial in the suspension after their 2.5" lift. If you dont see a lot of rocks or dont need to flex like crazy aev is the way to go. For rock crawling and flexing I would buy a rock krawler lift.

Great thread and thanks to those above who have replied with THEIR OWN results of ownership of the AEV 2.5

I'm planning my next move from my TF level kit and really leaning towards this kit from AEV for the reasons stated above

I too love my AEV lift. It's been on for a little over a month now and I wonder why I didn't do it sooner.
It really is night and day. Make sure you get a new steering stabilizer as well. I was shocked how bad a condition the old one was in. I got a Bilstien one to match the rest of the kit.
Anyway, this kit with the geo brackets feels much like our BMW x3 on the highway, doesn't have the power of the x3 but rides pretty good :-)

To the owners of these lifts... Do you think 33s this lift on a unlimited looks ok? Not too much wheel well showing? Not sure 35s are for me

I know you get what you pay for and I'm willing to invest even though my 08 has 115,000 km on it...keeping it until the kids are old enough and pass it on (the will earn the $ to buy it from me at a very good price ) then its new jeep for me :)

Guess If not too much changes could always move the lift to the new Jeep

Thanks

I have the AEV lift for my overland build and love it! We drove down the full length of the Oregon coast Hwy the PCH and the ride was amazing.. We then wheeled in Moab with equal results... I'm running 33's and feel there perfect for the 2.5 lifthttp://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/07/e6a9utu6.jpg

Go Topless :-)

Personally, i wanted the 35s for extra clearance on trails and for the looks. After a month i am already thinking about 37s (just because :thumbsup ) for future but i may not make it into the garage.

I am sure you will be happy eitherway you go!!

x3 I love the way my jku rides now it's great. I'm still running stock tires but looking at 33s when it's time for tires

I'll throw my change for what it's worth on the TF 2.5 with Bilsteins. I went with it due to my budget with the options to upgrade later. I added the monster front trackbar also. I like the ride that it gives me and plenty of clearance for 35s that I plan to add later. Gave a little more than 2.5 but I don't have aftermarket bumpers to weigh it down. I still have stock rubber also and dont think it looks odd. Tons of guys run both so I think you'll be happy with either.
