WHICH AIR-INTAKE? Suggestions and recommendations please!
Jeepers,
Which cold air intake system should I get? 2015 JK - 4DR. On my last Jeep I had an AEM Brute Force, easy to install and it was an open design concept. I see now that most companies are putting shrouds around the entire system, but some aren't full enclosing theirs. What do y'all think!? |
My suggestion and recommendation is stay with the OEM intake and put the money toward something else, especially since you are still covered by the powertrain warranty.

Intakes wont do much if anything on the new 3.6 but if you just happen to want one for the sound and different filter i recomend the Volant. It uses a donaldson diesel filter and they have a very long service life.

The only CAI on a Jeep is a snorkel. Under hood open filters do nothing for you and if you go offroad in wet muddy areas, increase your chances of water ingestion 10 fold..
Save your coin and put it towards a useful mod... |

i did a short piece of intake pipe, fitting, and a filter from my local auto parts store. Will be redesigning it over the winter to remove the clunky plastic intake. Also plan to get a pre-filter cover for the filter itself to help with dust/mud/and such |

I agree with the previous posts. Save your money. I replaced the OEM filter with a K&N filter and retained the factory enclosed box.
