Default Alignment after upgrading to Rubi takeoffs?

I just swapped out my SRAs for some Rubicon BF Goodrich takeoffs. Tires had about 4000 miles on them. Prior to the swap, steering wheel was straight and Jeep tracked straight down the road. Drove the Jeep today with the Rubicon takeoffs and it seems to be pulling slightly to the right.

Should I need to get an alignment after swapping tires? (I didn't think so, especially since they are the same size) Would an out of balance wheel cause this?

This is probably not an alignmant issue. I would try swapping the front tires with each other and see if it pulls the other direction. It will eaither pull the other direction or correct it all together.

I have never heard of a tire causing pull unless it was severly worn on one edge or underinflated. It could be an alignment coincidence but if it started with the new tires it probably has something to do with them. Check wear and inflation and if that doesn't do it swap then front to back and try again.

Check your tire pressure too.

How many miles did they have when you bought them? Were they rotated?

Verify the pressure is the same right to left, and if so swap the fronts and test drive again... a bad tire can cause a pull, and sometimes just driving them after swapping will correct it.

4 tires had 4000 miles on them, the 5th had zero (was the spare). I plan on doing 5 tire rotations, so I worked what was the spare in. It is currently on the passenger front. Would the fact that it has zero miles compared to the others having 4000 cause it to pull toward it?

Just checked the pressure- 3 were at 38lbs and the passenger front was at 40. I dropped them all to 37 - I'll see if it helps when I drive it tomorrow

Thanks for the help

Try dropping the air pressure to 30 psi. You'll notice a much improved ride and your tires will wear more evenly.
