another death wobble
07 x with 3.5 RC lift 35" tires put about 6000 miles on it drove good then went rotated and balance tires then it started DW at 40 to 55 and it doesn't do it every time . Carrying it back this morning any suggestions.

tighten your front track bar on both ends - tighten it higher then 130 ft-lbs
|
Ok ill try that thanks

If it started after you rotated your tires, you may have a balance problem that is contributing to it.

I had the same issue. The bolt holes that secure the front track bar on both ends became elongated due to bolts becoming loose. I had to have a heavy duty washer welded onto both sides of each of the mounting brackets to fix this issue. After this fix, I still had a slight wobble from time to time. I then checked all of my bolts for the upper and lower control arms on the front and rear and found two bolts on the front control arms loose. I then tightened all control arm and track bar bolts both front and back. This cured my death wobble. I also noticed my steering damper is shot. Will replace it with after market one soon.

My 2 cents is that the tires didnt really get balanced...

Thanks guys ill check in to it more. Its not a wobble that gets bad out of control but it starts the wheels wobbling sometimes worst than others. Just around 40 to 55 MPH at high speeds it smooth. Im thinking the Same as u Guys are saying I called the man back told him it was fine before now wobbling how do u figure that?

It was the tire balance now it rides fine. The Guy said that the other Guy had put like a butt load weight in one spot on the tire which is what was wrong. The Dodge dealer is who fixed it they broke the tire down and rotated it on the wheel then balance them it did the job.
