another one
So i read the sticky on top about tire size, and rim width.
but it didn't answer my question, and the search function was thoroughly abused.
If i keep my stock steel 16's, that are 7" wide, will i be able to fit a tire that is 315/75/16? if i can, i'm getting the MTR/K's, and if not, i have to buy new rims and some Duratracs. i guess the AT's will be smarter for daily driving, as well as snow driving and ice.
I've read and hear about people using the stock rubi rims, and the lesser moabs that are 7.5" wide, and run 35's.
the website says that recommended tire width is between 8-10...
and clicky click talks about better fuel mileage and wear.
i dont quite understand all of the tire sizing yet...

315/75/16? = 35/12.50/16 (roughly)
Yes, the tires will fit on the rims. --> IF the shop will mount them. Some won't mount wide tires on rims that are narrower than the recommended range, so ask around before you order.
Did you read the parts in the faq about backspacing? If you are not getting wheel spacers and a lift or flats, plan on those taller/wider tires rubbing.

yeah, i read about the spacers too. probably pick up some 1.5's somewhere. im also still not sure about the whole spacer thing. i know some after market rims come with BS, but i need to get between 3.75 and 4. something? to not rub? im getting the 2.5 coil lift by teraflex soon. all of it will be ordered just before december.
Teraflex lists info on all of their kits right on the website...
This kit will allow you to run up to a 35” tire (aftermarket wheels with 4.5” backspacing or less are required). Fits all JK Wranglers including Rubicon and Unlimited.
