So... looking to switch from 37's to 40's. Should I be concerned about anything?

I'd want to upgrade to 5.38's with 40's but if you are running a D44 the housing would be undersized. I know some people like planman are doing it and are successful with it so it might be more about throttle control but for me I was thinking maybe of a PR44 with 60 outers until I talked to Mel (ORE) and he said the outers are a large portion of the cost so might want to consider a 60. If it's not broke don't worry about it yet. I would suggest beefing up those dana 44s with sleeves and gussets. Gussets for sure because its what I run. x2 on the 5.38s.

Your rig is bad ass planman

I still have to do a lot of trimming on mine...I'm hoping with the wider axles I wont hit the frame when I turn.

I don’t have 40’s but I would think that a break system designed to handle a 32” tire might, will have a harder time stopping the wheel with it’s added leverage. I’m not saying it will fail, I’m just stating that you will feel a difference and it may be more than you desire.
