My X has the 225 package, those tires are small. I am aching to go 35's. I may slap on my 31's for now.

You want a wider tire, not a skinnier tire.

Its all about the contact patch, not the height....more rubber on the ground gives better traction, better flotation, better conformance to the terrain, better braking and handling.

The section width on these is 9 1/4" ascompared to the stockers at 8 3/4", also this measures out to a 32-33" tire depending on manufacturer. The contact patch is going to be slightly wider and longer because of the increased diameter. Thought it might be an option with the stock rims since people are experiencing rubbing when then get near the 33" range (no lift). Not to mention the increased tration when comparing treads and increase in ground clearance.

Might be a different alternative at around $125 a tire.

Your thoughts...

i just ran a quick search on that tire at tires.com.

And the tires that came back were all E Load range tires, I personally wouldnt run them ,they are going to be hard as a rock
