Looking for feedback on the newer Smittybilt hood. It looks very similar to 10th anniversary power dome hood, but seems a hair more aggressive like AEV hood. I was looking at AEV's but this is half the cost which makes it more attractive dde42. Let me know thoughts and post any pics if you have one.

Where are you finding a price? The hood looks awesome but there isn't much info out there on it. It'll probably take a year or two to even be on shelves..

It looks identical to the Rubi hard rock hood.

does anyone make jeep hoods out of aluminimum? seems like it would do just as well and drop some weight vs a steel hood.

Totl innovations makes a fiberglass hood that is lighter than the stock hood.

Checking around, it looks like anyone who carries the smitty hood has it for $550....carID included, who is a forum sponsor so maybe you could get a little better deal??

That's awesome! For $550 I'm going to have to jump in it. I hate having smittybilt front and rear bumpers though, now I'm going to feel like a fan boy

I reached out to Smittybilt over a week ago and haven't heard any confirmation yet that this is actually available. It's in the 4wd.com catalog, but not on their website. There are a couple sites listing it, but none that I am familiar with. Bizarre, sounds like it was in process of being produced and possibly had the plug pulled earlier this year.

If anyone picked one up, let me know.
