Default Anyone running Cooper ST Maxx tires????

I'm not too far away from some new tires, Is anyone running the Cooper ST Maxx? Any info would be great, How do you like them on/off road, how do they work in rain/snow, how are they wearing, are they noisy? I'm going to go with the soon to be out 255/80/17s on stock Moabs....

My Rubi is my DD and about 70% road/30% off road use, I run Moab scenic trails to Hells Revenge level trails, desert trails/high speed two track, overlanding type use not really running hard core rocks or deep mud.

Any input would be great, I know no one will be running this size but any general info on this tire would be very helpful.....

Thanks in advance and Happy Thanksgiving!!!!!

Well I had them on my previous JKU 2012 model and I loved them. Excellent traction and very quiet for a traction tire or any tire for that matter. I am however on my 2013 Rubicon givint the Treadwright retreads a try, that is if they ever get here.

Default Anyone running Cooper ST Maxx tires????

I've been running them on my JKU sense June. I love them!! They are a excellent all around tire, great traction in the wet and snow. I did tons the research on these for my overland build.. Did a 5k road trip down a very wet Oregon coast Hwy then coming back up through a very hot Nevada (53c) the tires are quiet and provide a great ride.
Mine are 275/70/R18

Go Topless :-)

But that's an exploded Cooper STT tire. Completely different tire.

I've running both. STT for muddy terrain and the ST Maxx last winter. I'm surprised how quite they are. But they are more sensitive to bumps and follow every curb, the STT don't even notice.

I've been running them since sept of 2012. In a 285/75-16. Got 18k on them, smooth tire they do have some noise to them but nothing serious. Good off road and in the snow. I'd buy them again!!

I ran them for the last two years on my 3/4 ton Dodge and had no problems with them. Great tire overall. They had good traction offroad and had no problems towing trailers on the highway.
