Default Anyone running Mickey Thompson Baja Claws?

Is anyone running Mickey Thompson Baja Claw Radials?

Thoughts? Pictures?

Seems like an aggresive off-road tire, but I've read that they're actually NOT to bad on the street....? Similar noise levels as any Mud Terrain.

I ran them in 33" size on my YJ and loved them. It was my daily driver and they handled the road suprisingly well, even better than the stock rubicon tires. As far as off roading goes, I really couldnt be happier with them. I say go for it. I will see if i have any digital pics of my YJ left some where (new comp, all my old pics are gone)

Boy, maybe they would've helped me tonight. I was up on a brand new mountain road here in Bryson City, NC after a day of torrential rain, and got the Rubicon stuck. The road was slanted toward the mountain with a 1-2ft drainage ditch. I started sliding toward the ditch and had all 4 wheels locked, no matter what I did, I would just keep sliding downhill toward the ditch whicih I eventually fell into. I was able to get out once, but ended back up in it again. I ended up leaving the JK on the mountain, and got a ride back to town in my wife's Cross Country Volvo. Supposed to be sunny tomorrow. If the mud dries up, should be able to walk it out in 2WD, but for now, gravity is stronger than the Rubi, sad day for the Jeep. No, I didn't have a camera...

Maybe the Baja Claws would have pulled me out...

I had Baja Radial claws on my TJ. They are louder than a regular Mud terrian. They are also scarry to drive in rain and light snow. They slide all around. They were good off-road though.

I couldnt agree more. They are great off road but do like to slide on off camber situations. If you keep them moving they arent so bad. I want to reverse them for the next time I go wheeling.

No, don't buy Claws get the MTZs, I run both night and day difference.

My claws were the roughest riding tire I've ever owned. (Had: MT/Rs, KMs, KOs, MTZs, Claws, Mud Kings, X-Terrains and SSRs) You can feel the individual lugs slaping the ground coming to a stop. Plus I don't like directional tires too much. So they rode like poop and wern't that great offroad.

All while my MTZs balanced and ride better than BFG KOs, while having great traction offroad. I LOVE THEM! I want them in a 37" model, errr.
