Anyone wish they did NOT go 5.13?
I am driving myself insane trying to decide between 4.88s and 5.13s.
If you have a 4 door/35s/400 lbs of new metal and re-geared to 5.13, would you go 4.88 if you could do it over again? Conversely, if you have 4.88 would you go 5.13 if you could do it over? edited to say: I have an auto. |
I haven't upgraded yet, but everyone that I've talked to with 5.13's loves them. Most are running 35's and it always leaves room to move up to 37's. 5.13's is what I'll be going with one day.

No need to go insane, just do the 5.13's. Trust me, you'll love the power that you'll get out of them :yup:

Went with the 5.13's on 35's and love em. And like BLKRUBI said, if I want to jump to a 37" I'm dialed in already.

I can't answer just yet, I took this picture about an hour ago. I also was really torn between 4.88 and 5.13's, but I have 37's and have read that a lot of people w/ 35's and 5.13's are happy so I just went for it! I'll report back tomorrow w/ MY opinion...

http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q...1/101_0670.jpg Sorry about the picture quality.:naw: I've decided on 5.13s for my auto and 35s as soon as the tax refund gets here! I'm sure someday I'll have 37s, so I'm ready. |
No way do I wish I went 4.88's!
I love my 5.13's...........with my 35's and all my added weight, Im not sure I want to go 37's now and loose anymore power....I like it the way it is :) |
The 5.13's are the way to go. I would not want any less gear than what I have. If I could go a little more, I probably would....just for those slight inclines where it kicks out of overdrive. The good news is that you can kick down into drive and run it back up to 75 or 80 mph with no problem. I also contemplated, but trust me....just do the 5.13's.

For those of you with 5.13s running 35s. Is this your DD set up? How is your milage?
