Default Auto Traction Control issues??

I have the 2.5in skyjacker lift on my 2dr rubicon with 35's. Has anyone with a similar setup had any issues with the traction control engaging during certain turns at a decent speed (like exit ramps for example). I had noticed the light flash for about a second then go back off and I seem to feel it in the brake pedal. Any thoughts on this?? Also has anyone ever determined for sure weather or not there is a flash or anything else that can be done to get the shift points back in line. With cruise set at 70, in and out of overdrive constantly. Thanks.

lots of guys been complaining bout the ESP coming on unnecessarily. Make sure your wheel is centered properly. As for the flash, did you do TSB 1803606 if not, go to your dealer and ask for it... it helps with a lot of stuff, some say including the shift points. Good luck.

"Until an electronic or mechanical solution is found, I am adjusting my driving habits. Slower cornering speeds seems to take care of it. This is probably good for me anyway since I am now influencing my 3 year old with my driving habits. She keeps asking why all the other cars are driving slow."

I noticed that you can manually turn the ESP off by pushing the off button on the center dash panel, but wasn't sure if that was a good idea in the event that I actually needed it. I have adjusted my driving somewhat as well.

Haven't turnd the ESP off and left it off yet. The problem is so random that it may take a little while to tell. I'll try and get back to you all.

I'm reviving this thread since I want to see if anyone else has this problem. My 07 has started doing this exact same thing! 3" lift 35" tires, traction control light comes on in a corner (entrance and exit ramps) and I can feel the brakes engage like an ABS brake shudder. Anyone else? Is this normal or do I need a dealer visit?

I'm having the same problem since I put on the Teraflex 2.5" BB (stock wheels/tires/shocks) last week. I had the steering sensor and ABS reflashes done today, but I'm still having the issue.

My steering wheel is straight and I dialed in my front and rear Full Traction adjustable track bars this afternoon. Took it for a test drive and had the problem on an on-ramp, but I may have been pushing it a bit to see if I still had it (if that makes sense!). I'll keep an eye on it under regular driving and hope for the best.

Took it out and drove around town, with several on and off ramp tests, and the ESP only kicked in once when I knowingly pushed it too much for the sharp curve. Looks like it might be okay now!

1st of all, with 35's and 410's you should just shut your overdrive off. You will create excess heat and premature wear on your transmission. That goes for around town too. As soon as I back out of the drive, I turn it off.

I had the esp issues with on ramps when I first did my 3" Economy lift. One thing I noticed back then is the esp went off less with the hardtop off. (Less top heavy/roll sensitive). I later upgraded to adj. control arms and put more caster on the front axle. The esp went off just a hair at the end of the culprit ramp. Over time it has stopped going off all together. I can fly around that on ramp and cant make it come on now.

My uneducated conclusion is, shallow caster is to blame for some off the problem compounded by the added high up weight of the hardtop. I think over time your computer learns and makes adj. I cant remember the last time my esp has activated.
