Axle Alignment and Track Bar Help
I recently took my JK X out wheeling and now the axle is off center by about 1-2 inches. Im guessing this a track bar issue. My question is now do I have to get an adjustable track bar to get everything back on center or is there a way to set the alignment back without spending the money on a new one? Iv got a 3" lift btw. Thanks!
You do not have an adjustable trackbar or relocation bracket now, (installed with the lift), and your axle was off-center before going wheeling?
Or your axle was centered before, but you broke or bent something while wheeling?
If it started off-center and you just want to center it now, a bracket or adj will do the trick. If it was centered before wheeling and offcenter after, you need to start checking everything to see what you bent/broke before buying something to center it.
And you are talking about the axle being centered left-to-right, and not front-to-back in the wheel well, right?

I would imagine that it would take alot to bend even a factory track bar and would think that the bracket it attaches to first would bend or break first. Keep looking, make sure your trac bar brackets aren't bent
Yes, an adjustable trackbar will let you re-center. But again, you should verify what bent/broke before spending money on it.
My thinking is that you have a front trackbar bracket now. (otherwise the axle probably wouldn't have been centered with a 3" lift). So if the axle is 2" offcenter now, my first thought is that the relo bracket failed or you snapped some welds. Take a few pics and post them. Both ends of the trackbar, the brackets, etc.

My thoughts are that even before you went wheeling your axle was off-center if you didn't already have an adjustable front trackbar. Maybe not the 1-2 inches, but it would have been off something.
I'm not an expert on this by any means, but it's my understanding (based on what I've read) that when you lift your Jeep it will push your axle towards one side.
There is write up on how to recenter your axle on ProjectJK but instead of using the fender as a measuring point I used the frame.

Like everyone else said - check to see if you damaged anything else first....

Your profile shows you have a 3" lift. how did you have a centered axle before? You either had to have an adjustable track bar or a relocation bracket. to move it 2" off center to the passenger side you would have to break something, bending would move it to the driver side.
