Default Bad shocks causing Sway bar to misallign?

I have a 2015 Rubicon Unlimited with what I believe are the original shocks. They are red with black plastic on the outside. There is a leveling kit installed by the previous owner but I think the type of kit installed allowed for the stock shocks.

I have 90,000 miles on the jeep and these shocks are shot. Recently the Sway bar light started to blink when in 2 wheel drive and the ride seems a lot more mushy and loose.
1) Can bad shocks cause the Sway Bar to misalign thus tripping the sensor to blink on the dashboard?
2) I want to replace the shocks but am not sure on the size to get? Is there a way I can measure the stock ones while they are still installed to determine the right size that I need?

Have you checked for any CODES? Realistically the shocks do not perform axle location.. that is a function of the control arms. Most leveling kits are usually 1-2 inch spacer kits. So presume it is a 2 in leveling kit.. the front would have been a 2 in spacer and the rear a 1 inch spacer. Personally I would search the forum for some one selling stock Rubi shocks believing that there is a 1 inch spacer on the rear.. this would place the shock operating at a 1 in extended position at normal ride height; it has 90K miles IMO the shocks have performed well.

You most likely need to remove your sway bar, DISCONNECT battery prior to doing that, and dismantle the sway bar unit and clean and regrease. It sounds like it is decoupled and you have no sway bar function. They need to be done about every 3 or 4 years. Don't worry if it is all rusted up just clean it out and grease it and reassemble.
