I did not get a reply from them yet but you might be right, they must of changed there finish on them. BBK website says "Silver Ceramic"

Most ceramic coated headers are shiny. Chrome would look even shinier than what you have.

To bad you ordered them I have a extra set that I could have sent you. Ripp sent bolts with my set.

finally got my header bolt kit in. first set they sent only had the bolts no retainers or clips

Wondering if I did my research ok. these are m8 X 1.25 and I see the ones from Ripp say m8 X 1.2!

hope the .05 is silent. lmao

You are correct, I think they just left off the 5 as you can see from the product info on the Jegs site. M8 x 1.25 x 30mm is correct. These were actually the set I bought before I knew Ripp was going to send a set also

BBK Performance Products 1624, BBK Performance Parts Header Bolt & Stud Kits | BBK Performance Products

Do you plan on taking off your fender/liners at least on the pass. side for easier access?
I am still waiting for mine to come back from ceramic coating!
When do you plan on installing them?

The BBK ones are black and the ones Ripp sent are Silver, they look to be the same thread size one the BBK's are a bit longer.

I tested them yesterday the stage 8 Mopar bolt are the correct pitch, length is the same as the OEM 1.25mm

I have TrailMods splash shields I took them off when I put the lift on and was waiting/dreading to change my EGR(auto) then the headers came along. I would of took them off if I still had my oem's for the install. when I did take the original fenders/liners off I just used the grip tight and rip them off method, one piece. remove hardware first!
I'm on a 30 day shutdown I like to make sure I have an extra set of wheels in case of an unexpected breakdown. yesterday was my only day off I was so tired I just laid under the jeep and just wasn't into it.

The EGR on the automatic was not that bad to change out, just limited elbow space.

Thumbs up

here are a few pics of my BBK Long tube headers install on a 07 supercharged jku 3.8l.
I had two broken header bolts when i removed the oem manifolds then I broke one after 3 hours of trying to get it out.
I wrapped fuel lines, heater hose, plugs boots, johnny joints are> (just millimeters away from the headers) tranny lines, wiring harness and more.
few tears and my stock muffler is a rattle trap now, must be stuff flying out of it at redline I have more pics on my phone to upload.
looking for a sexy assistant to make a short video clip lol

I originally wanted the Borla headers but went with these because I wanted the cats. I blew the guts of the cats lmao out the tail pipe last year, that's with my supercharger. headers are great louder now without the cats

3.8L could of had a V8

selling the whole enchilada: supercharger non intercooled, rebuilt 3.8l w/1500km, auto transmission, BBK's. screeming demon coil pack and livewires as a package. I don't mind the package it runs like a top for me, just time to move on, It's a jeep thing

shopping for a gen III 6.0 same as my other ride GMC 1500HD crew. then I will work on axles that match lugs 14bolt/dana60 I'd even go for one of those ultimate Dana's
