Bedlining the grille
Thinking about spraying my grille with some bedliner when I have it off to install my tranny cooler. I was wondering what you guys do to get the Jeep emblem off of it, and what you do to prep the grille then? I found some sprayon bedliner in a arosol can at my local autozone, I think its made by duplicolor. Is this the stuff everyone is using?
here's an example of the grille mod.

[QUOTE=kntr;667517]I had mine Line Xed for about $150. The Duplicolor just doesnt last.
Heat the Jeep emblem with a hairdryer and it will pull right off.
I ended up puting the Jeep emblem back on.
That looks sweet! I was thinking about having the inside of mine down with LineX or Rhinoliner to protect the floors while I have the carpets out. Leave enough room around the drain plugs of course so everything seals up good and tight. I really like how they paint matched the color of your Jeep.

I did mine a while back then sold the Jeep, there are pics somewhere on this forum. I just pryed the jeep emblem off (it is pretty hot down here in Texas) and glued it back with gorilla glue.
I could see two reasons, as the bedliner would hold up better than the thin paint-job on the grill.
- If you ride in HEAVEY trees (my situation), they attack the paint everywhere, especially the front and sides. I'm rockin' some pretty good pin-striping (mind you I like it
).
- Or drive on highways/freeways commonly. The entire front of the Jeep is a rock magnet. Don't know about the roads in the US but there's a lot of gravel on the roads up here in Alberta.
Like I said previously, I don't like, but it has reasoning behind it.
