Bent Rubicon Rear Axle Cheap fix?
I have a Rubicon Rear axle assembly out of a 2010 model that is bent. What will I have to do to use a stock Dana 44 housing? I am not sure if this will work but I thought it was worth the post.

you may be able to find an offroad shop in your area that can straighten the housing and throw on a truss

You can't, rubi 44 is offset ( different length shafts )

What he means is the internals can't be swapped from the rubicon housing to the sport housing. You would need to replace it with another rubicon housing to keep your internals.
Now, I know the electric Rubi locker is off-set and requires a shorter axle shaft on the passenger side, but can't you install all the Rubi internals in a "regular" Dana 44 housing ?? . |
Bent 44
I have been looking at 35 spline upgrade for my Non-Rubi 44. I may just go that route if I can find a bargin on a locker.
