Default Best 3.5 Lift for under $1000 - kit or piece by piece

I have a budget of $1000 for a lift for my JKUR. 80% dd 20% trails (roughly). I don't drive in city traffic but do take long trips with it occasionally, so it has to have good road manners.

So the question is, if you had $1000 to get to 3.5" of lift, what would you do? Is there a kit you'd go with OR a partial kit and then some must-have components you'd add to it?

I would hold off and save more and go with the EVO Enforcer lift. That is what I have and love it. I travel 40 miles one way to work and when I wheel it performs great. EVO developed the Enforcer lift for use in Border Patrol and County Sheriff Jeeps. They run about $1700 and then pair it with Rancho RS9000 XL adjustable shocks and you will have the perfect set up.

Assuming that your also doing 35" or 37" tires to need that much lift, I would not be able to do it at that cost and include the track bar, drag link and tie rod upgrades that are almost necessary when wheeling with big tires.

Synergy or RK 3.5" springs. $400-$500
Pick your shock, I like Fox Performance IFP. $450

And you have a shit ton more needed.

You can pick up a decent 2.5" lift for that much (a little more for the AEV).

EVO would be my first choice, but to not start a brand war, I would just hold off, save more money and get something quality and not cut corners.

I'm going to agree with Dirtman. 1K kit will ride like shit. Your going to have to spend at least 2K to start. Shoot my shocks were $1400 alone.

I wanted to do the EVO Coil-over Kit but its like $1800 for the front and $1850 for the rear. I went with the middle road and went with a non coil-overs

EVO MFG Front Bolt on Coilover Kit JK/JKU ? Off Road Evolution

EVO MFG Rear Bolt on Coilover Kit JK/JKU ? Off Road Evolution

My wife almost had a stroke when I asked her if I could do it.. So I settled for less.. I'm happy with it works good for my needs as of right now. Eventually I'll probably start with the front then do the rear later.
