That would be my recommendation. If you want i can PM you a pic of the texture/ finish on my hinges after work, but i'm sure a quick search will get you some better pics.

I've had it on about a year and seems to have held up pretty well, don't think it really faded at all. Cleans off fairly easy.

i just scuffed mine with a 3M stripping pad, but that wouldn't be a bad idea. See what the back of the can says, i forget. I think some of them are meant to go right on bare metal without primer. Not sure.

i used duplicolor bed armor, not to be confused with duplicolor bedliner, and it is awsome, builds up really thick and tough.

I thought about doing it myself but opted out as I don't have the patience or the time. Ended up line-x for $600.

But if I was gonna do this myself I would go with monstaliner, Hands down! Great product and you can do colours too

Had my tub line-x'd last year. Good stuff and hard as a rock but my local Line-X shop is a freaking joke. I wanted to rip the managers head off, that fat bastard but anyway...

I decided to give Raptor liner a try to coat my front grille and PSC bumper and I wish I would have just coated the tub myself with this stuff. It's incredibly easy to use, sprays in a nice uniform pattern and I would say its only ever so slightly less durable than the Line-X. Bottom line is I'll never use any other brand of bedliner out there now that I tried Raptor liner.

Oh and IMO the guys recommending the duplicolor or rustoleum crap, please don't listen to them. I made that mistake one too many times and will NEVER buy that stuff again

Can you post up a pic. Curious to see how it looks on a bumper and grill
