Default the best steering stabilizer ???

hi all

i am thinking about Fox Racing Steering Stabilizer

it is expensive but i guess it worth the price

i've tried daystar stabilizer and it has broken in less than 2 months

I'll appreciate your opinions in choosing the best steering stabilizer

I just installed a dual steering stabilizer from Rough Country (www.roughcountry.com) and am happy with it. My old one busted and this has made a world of difference. Only takes about an hour to install and the best part it is only $130.

A couple weeks back I lost the nut that holds my TF steering stabilizer on while doing some other work on the Jeep. Anyway, I drove around for a week or so until I could pick up a new nut. To tell the truth, I could tell no difference between having the SS and not--which is exactly what WOL said in his write-up a couple years ago about SS myths. Bottom line: Unless you have a bumpsteer problem, you don't really need a SS. Therefore, I'd recommend getting the cheapest one you can that is built reasonably well. The stock one is so, so (there are actually two different stock ones, but I think both qualify as so, so). The TF came to about $50 and is about 50% beefier than the stock. I've heard/read/seen where other, even larger and dual SS set-ups interfered with various combo's of lifts/rod kits/etc, so I suggest that you specifically ask about whatever combo of components you plan on now and in the future.

I agree. I have installed both the single and the dual stabilizers in the past, and to tell you the truth, there was no difference in the steering, just in my mind because I wanted to justify the coin I had spent.

First off you don't need a dual steering stablizer..They do look cool.
The stock unit is pretty much junk.. Mine leaked right away so I replaced it with a TF unit..It leaked right away but I kept it on another few months until it Puked its guts out on my drive way. They warranty the shock but its more of a PITA for me to ship it back...etc, than it was to just get another shock. I now have a Bilstein and its been perfect.
