Another vote for the duratracs I ran them two winters ago and they performed awesome. When it got really deep I just aired them down a bit and they dug in great.

Duratracs! Had some bad ice last year, and they were like magnets.

Bfg km2 for me. Did great in a recent snow dumping here. Did some night runs shuttling airport and hospital staff Only needed 2wd which was a real surprise.

BFG KM2's on my new Jeep and had them on my previous rig, Nissan Xterra, and tore through the snow with ease. I had mine professionally siped. The Duratracs are nice snow tires too as long as the size your wanting is snow rated since not all are. I plan on getting a set of Duratracs for daily driving to save my KM2's for wheeling but both are good options for snow/ice as long as you get the KM2's siped.

Cool I was hoping someone from Colorado would say something about the KM2's. This is the tire I'm thinking of buying. I would say the roads are pretty well takin care of there in the Denver metro area and the KM2's should be a good tire. If not please let me know.

To sipe or not to sipe in now the question. Anyone?

If going with the KM2's then def sipe them if its your DD tire. Snow was no problem un-siped but the ice was another story. Get them siped

I have run the following on my past rigs:
ProComp Extreme AT
ProComp Extreme MT
Toyo MT
BFG MT
BFG AT

hand's down, the BFG AT has been the best in snow/ ice for me. Driving over the the I70 pass to go up skiing, this is the only tire I now consider for winter driving. KM2 or Cooper STT will go on my rig next Spring once the snow is done. The 35" AT's will get used now through Spring though (since I have a full set sitting here). Running an MT tire is good for ofroading in the snow, but running them on the street without siping them is asking to slide off the road IMO.

My vote goes the BFG AT or KM2 with siping....although having a set of chains for those extreme conditions isn;t a bad idea for any tire.
