BEWARE OF BUMPER SWAP ON 2012s!!!
After seeing pics elsewhere in this forum about a new "pump" on the frame rail, I forwarded the pic to LOD asking if it would be a problem for their bumper. Plan was to pick up the bumper tomorrow and install it myself.
I am very pleased with the communication from LOD and the arrangements to make everything work for me and future 12 owners.
SO just a warning if you are planning a bumper swap on your 12 JK, either go with LOD or make sure the manufacturer you choose knows about the changes and their product fits!
See post #1613 here https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...thread/page162 for pics of what I am talking about.
Once again this forum saves me time and frustration!!!

I haven't followed all of the plumbing around yet, but it is noted as a vacuum pump by AEV. I would have to agree as the line coming out of the bottom is not transporting any fluid and is not reinforced leading me to think it's low pressure air hose for a vacuum system. The area under the hood is significantly more crowded in the 12s than with the 3.8s. My plan is to cut the bracket off from the frame and lower it 1 1/4" to have it at the bottom of the rail that it is currently on. This should allow me to mount the Expedition One bumper I have for the vehicle. Their winch plate sits a little higher than others. I will re-affix it with a bolt instead of welding it back on to allow for future movement/adjustment. I'll post pics later.
I just returned from LOD where they are working on installing mine. They are making a relocation bracket for the pump and had to trim the winch plate slightly. So hopefully very soon it will be done and I can pass along more info.
Very difficult parting with my 5 day old Jeep but it will be better afterward!
