Default Brakes

Have any of you had trouble with your brakes having to be replaced after 9 months and having to turn the rotors ? Is there a better brake pad to use other then oem ? I have a 2.5" lift with 33's I do drive alot, but still think that the brakes should last a little longer. How often are you guys replacing your brakes ?

Thanks
Rob

All 4?

If you did a search on the board you would find several threads on this subject.

You added a tag thought of "do drive a lot" if so and you're over 50K miles then I wouldn't be too surprised.

Do you go off roading? Turn off ESP, etc? it all makes a difference.

That really sounds like sticky calipers hanging up and not freely moving.

As for pads, EBC green stuff is definitely a good pad and won't excessively wear down rotors. Definitely a bit pricey, but alway good to know you're going to stop well.

I had to do the rears at 22,000 didn't turn the rotors this was probably due to towing.

I did my rears at 18,000 miles. Think it's due to the small size of the rears and the esp kickin in and the mud and sand. They are half the size of the frts. 34,000 on the frts, still look good.

Thanks for the info, I think I got about 18,000 on the back and around 30,000 for the front. I will try the EBC pads and see how they work.

Thanks
