don't wait to long. I don't think with it hanging like that its going to take much to do damage. Eyeballing it, it almost looks like you don't need that extension

The Mor/ryde is a 3 prong approach and I've bought it in pieces. There's the heavy duty hinges, the tailgate reinforcement, and then actual tire carrier piece. Extreme Terrain sells all 3 pieces and without a code (PM xtryan) it's $470 to your door. I pieced it together and I'd guess that I'm probably at $400.

It's been around a month, how are you liking the ko2's? I stumbled into an opportunity to sell my 285's with aftermarket wheels and I've got the itch for 315's on stock wheels as you were originally planning.

I'm thinking ko2 or the general x3 on 07-12 rubi aluminum wheels. What's the weight of your setup look like?

Sorry, I missed your question earlier. So far I like the KO2's a lot. I had a chance to try them out in the snow a couple weeks back and they ate up 1ft of fresh power like a kid eating their 1st snow cone. I don't hardly notice a difference between these wheels and the stock wheels with my stock 3.73 gears where the only thing I've done is set the tire size with the SC Flashcal. I do notice the 3MPG drop in gas mileage over the stock Bridgestones. They're quiet on the highway as well. The closest thing I've come to off roading with them at this point is drive over a 3ft high plowed up snow hill in a parking lot which didn't seem like much of a challenge.

Unfortunately, I didn't weigh the wheels. I thought about it a couple times when I had the spare off and was installing the TF spare tire carrier since I had both the stock and one of these wheels sitting next to each other but by the time I finished installing the carrier, it was freezing cold out and gave up on that effort.

A lot of people seem to say the KO2's run small. However, that has not been my experience with these particular KO2 tires. They run true to size if you ask me. I'm currently running them at 35psi.

Measured Wheel Diameter @ 35psi (107 7/8in Circumference)
= 107.875/3.14 "pi"= 34.34in

Calculated "Advertised" Wheel Diameter of a 315/70/R17
= [(315 x 70%)/25.4]x2 + 17= 34.36in

Tiresize.com's measurement of 315/70/R17 KO2 on 9.5" Wheel
https://tiresize.com/tires/BFGoodric...ain-TA-KO2.htm
=34.4in

I'll have to measure these up once they're on the jeep.....I pulled the trigger and get them balanced tomorrow morning. So far.....they aren't looking like 35". Just a dry measure puts me at 33.5", but I'll measure after they're balanced.

I was averaging 16-17 with my 285 (31.25") coopers so I'm hoping the mileage won't change much between there and these. The 37*13.5's I'm running are terrible......14mpg.

Next to a 37*12.5 Cooper pro

I'm seeing about 15MPG, so you won't have much to look forward to. I'm considering purchasing the SC Flashpaq upgrade for the tunings to see if that helps. I just sent you a PM....sorry, I didn't realize you already bought them.

My tape measure is roughly in a similar spot that yours is, but I'm tucking them on 17*7.5" wheels. You know what I paid for tires and I got a healthy start towards them with the sale of my 'old' tires at $900.

Now I'm back to looking for another set of wheels for the right price...but I bought another compressor for that other thread you've got. Viair 88p is on sale on Amazon for a similar price as the HF. Sorry for the sidetrack.

HF Compressor? I rebranded that sh*t and now it's trail ready and cost 4 times as much.

I found a good use for those TF stickers that came with my spare carrier. I hope TF doesn't mind.

I must be your long lost twin, after days of flipping through endless wheel styles, landed on DC Gunmetal 7, looked awesome on the virtual wheel styler with my Jeep color (Deep Cherry Red)
Cant find them anywhere, and nothing else is a close second for me.
The search goes on.....

How many miles and what tread depth do you have on the BFG's at this point? I'll have to check my mileage but I'm down to 12/32" of tread from 15/32" new and I don't think I've had them on even a year yet.
