Budget tailgate fix ordered. Mor/Ryde hinges and MBRP re-inforcment.
I bought the MOR/Ryde JK tailgate hinges, the MBRP spare tire re inforcment kit and VDP high clearance front end caps for my JKU.
I was talking to the guy who designed the hinges and he said he took into account accessories etc, being mounted on the tailgate. Hopfully They will stop the hinge knock I have now. They look very well built and have replaceable bushings and are greaseable.
Excited now to get back from Florida to get this stuff installed.

I just saw the Morryde hinges yesterday at the EJS vendor show and spoke to the designer. They are very impressive - beefy, but not too expensive. If I didn't have a bumper mounted carrier, I would buy them!

I think these plus the MBRP kit should keep you save at 35". I would not add any accessories, or a tire bigger than 35. He told me that my setup is fine. I am running a 285, plus a vector rack with 8 gals of gas in rotopax.
