I've yet to see a size comparison to the stock hingest. Does anyone have a side by side showing how far these stick out?
I'd hate to put them on and then not be able to close a tire carrier that mounts close to the body.

They stick out about 3/8" further from the body than the plastic covers of the stock hinges.

I don't have any photos that exactly show the difference, but here are a few comparison photos that I do have.

I have a question about the MBRP Re-Inforcement. Thier website shows only up to 2011 models. It there something different with the newer tailgates/tire carrier? I dont remember seeing anything in this thread.

Looking forward to the release.

Are longer bumpstops not needed with this set up?

The need for longer snubber bumpers depends on your spare tire + wheel combination. The bumpers should always be in form contact with the tire.

I've been checking the MORryde website almost daily for the tailgate reinforcement. It and the HD spare tire carrier showed up today!

There are actually a lot more photos of the reinforcement and HD spare carrier under the HD hinge section, not sure why they're there, but you might check those out too.

Just ordered the hinges yesterday. Looking at the support it looks like it will move the stock tire carrier out about 1" which might be enough to clear a 35" tire depending on the rim backspace.
