Check your bumbstops if you haven't already. I was having something similar happen after installing new rear bumbstops. Turns out I had positioned one backwards and it was sticking out towards the rear a bit and snagging on the frame side track bar mount.

maxing out on even the smallest bump! even without shocks this should not be happening.the shock may be bad but even if you fix it something is not right.either your bump stops are too big or you are running a lift that is too small. off road this will be a pretty bad problem.you never stated what size tire and lift you are running...

Maybe that shock is no good. No resistance would cause it to bottom out so fast

I have a 4 inch lift with 35s. The bump stops are 2 inches. Like I said the rear Driver side is fine it's just this one shock. But I'm still waiting on my new shock to make sure that was it. The bump stops line up perfectly I tested the flex to make sure everything was working as it should. Once the shock finally gets here ill let you guys know.
