can I fit 35x12.50x17 without a lift

I have 1.5" wheel spacers on the way and have an opportunity to get some lightly used 35X12.50X17 pro comps for a great price but I wont be getting a lift for another month or so. I have an 08 jk 2 door.

Yup. Cut your pinch seam. Might need to trim fenders. As long and ur not flexing like crazy you will be fine.

I just did the same thing this past weekend to my 4 door Sahara.

Put on Nitto 35x12.5x17 Trail Grapplers Friday afternoon and did the lift the next day.

Did not need to trim the pinch seam but it was close.

The 35"'s did fit BUT it did rub the front OEM bumper a bit when I turned.

Also going over railroad tracks got some rub under both front fenders.

For me it was very stressful driving this way.

If I had to do it over again I wouldn't do it the same way.

Just my experience...Hope it helps!

I would buy the tires but wait till it is lifted before putting them on

Fits easy, you don't have to do anything. They only rub on the front air dam/valance located under the front bumper, but that doesn't hurt anything and if you don't turn it hard you wont hit it. Had it like that for a month before putting the lift on. No biggy, just didn't go offroading till it got the 3" lift done.

Thanks guys for the replies. Can someone explain the pinch points a bit more, and did anyone take pics of the 35s before the lift?
Another question is even if the 35s are a good option for the 2door or should I get some 285/70/17?
My last jeep was a yj I had for 10 yrs and I just picked up my JK last Thursday so I'm a total JK noob.
Sorry for the stupid questions.

35's are a great option for a 2-door. You don't need metric sizes, but they all work the same once you figure out the tires true dimensions.

The pinch seem is located on the body, behind the door where the rear wheel well starts. It sticks out in to the wheel well and will slice your tires if they don't fit properly.

Has anyone tried to run 35's with steel tube fenders and no lift? How does that work out? I own a built JKU, but am starting out on my son's 2-door JK build (once I buy his rig). I'm looking at a BB, steel tube fenders and 35's. I think I'll be more than fine with that set up.

I would have been upset if someone didn't post the "this has been posted like a million times comment". ;)

I did a quick search at work and decided to simply post the question ... Again.

Agree with this. If you're getting your lift in a month, suck it up and wait. It will be painful walking by them in the garage, but just count down the days. :D
