Can't decide between going with 33's or 35's?

I just bought a Skyjacker 2.5" lift kit and for the life of me can't decide between getting 33 or 35 inch tires.
On one hand I love how 35's would fill out the Jeep. But I'm not planing on regearing my Jeep. So maybe the smart choice is to get 33's.
Would love to hear some opinions.
BTW these will go on my 07 Unlimited Sahara and I'll be sticking with the factory 18" wheels (probably will need spacers).

Lots of threads on this. 35"s are better. And unless you wheel it hard, you will be safe. Some wheel on 35s and the Dana30 and are fine, others break stuff. But they definitely look better than 33s and work better on the trail.

You wont be unhappy with 35's but you certainly will with 33's sooner or later.

Go bigger and save the money.

I went with 35's on stock wheels, just finished my TF 2.5 coil today. Getting the tire's installed tomorrow. They are huge when compared to the factory KM's.

I have the Rubicon which has 4.10 gears and a manual, so I am sure I can live with the reduced performance. I am in 4low most of the time anyway..

I use to have a 4 cylinder YJ with 33's, so I am use to not having power. I just didn't see the point of going for a 33" when the stock are 32's.

Good luck.

Is your Sahara auto or manual and what is your gear ratio?

The manual will do wonders for adjusting for the lack of gears, but anything less than 4.10s with 35s will be a dog.

Go with the 35s

Don't make the mistake of getting 33's and wanting 35's. If you want the 35's get them first.

My feeling is if you are questioning it already, you will regret not going with the larger size not long after you purchase the smaller size

:yup::yup::yup: Like what the others recommended....Get the 35s, worst case scenario is if you dont like the performance you would have to regear, but at least you wont have to buy 35s down the line...

dont even think about 33s if you already want 35s.....33s are almost the same height of the factory tires and any jeep can handle 35s regardless of the front axel..... I wheel the hell out of mine and its doing perfect
