Default Caster and AEV Geometry brackets - which hole?

I just installed a new lift that resulted in just shy of 3.5". I am also using the AEV brackets. Based on AEV's instructions of measuring from the front coil perch to the frame, I fall right in between the 2.5" and 3.5" holes. I am using the 2.5" hole at the moment, but I'm hoping someone can spare me from the time of switching holes and testing it. It still feels a little flightly, but there are so many variables I don't want to assume it is caster. Toe-in is perfect, and axles are centered.

I know I can figure out caster by measuring the angle at the pinion yoke, but what I can't figure out is how to do that when my Jeep is not on a perfectly level surface?

Appreciate the help!

I recently had a similar issue. Dealer installed 2.5" AEV lift. They installed on the top hole. It drove terrible. very light/flighty feel to the steering. I called AEV and per thier instructions, measured the amount of lift I gained and it was 3.25" actual. I moved it to the center hole and it solved my issues. No driveshaft vibrations from pinion angle either.

I ran the center hole as well with my 2.5" AEV lift, which, on my 2 door netted 3.5". Ran fine until i upgraded to new upper/lower control arms... Made a world of difference.

The control arms made a world of difference or the brackets?

When i switched from the drop brackets to control arms it made a world of difference. the steering stabilized at high speeds and i gained a few inches of clearance.

The holes are set forward iirc. So using a different hole may or may not change caster.

I am at 3.5 and ran the middle hole w/ around 4.5* caster.

I measured originally and used the top holes. It was flighty so I change to the center holes and it drove a lot better. They measure by the frame to spring perch. And I was 1/4- 1/2 inch over so tried the top hole first anyway being it was so close. Should have went ahead and used the middle hole.
