catalytic converter to straight pipe

I have a 2008 jeep wrangler jk unlimetd x i want to get a deeper throatier sound i have flowmaster 30 offroad series on it now it sounds good but i want great deep sound ive heard the four cat bubbles are there to create back preassure is this true has anyone done this ive searched all over for a test pipe or highflow cat and when i enter year make and model nothing any ideas

I have read a few posts from people saying they did not like the low end torque loss from straight pipes. I am sure though that is all subjective to individual preferences.
If you remove the cats you will pop trouble codes from the computer though. The after cat O2 sensor reading will not be right is I think what happens. And of course the computer won;t like having no O2 sensors. So you probably have to get a gadjet to feed the computer a signal that makes it think the cats are still there and fine.
On something like the 3.8 I do not see how you going to get a "deep" sound anyway and it is probably not worth the hassle IMO.

I'm using only 2 cats, had the other two cut out. Through a couple o2 codes for about 2 weeks then I guess it just learned cause it hasn't tossed up any codes for awhile now.

Did you feel a difference? Performance? Sound? anything? and the ones you have left are right after the headers I presume?
