Rugged Ridge arm rest as shipped is to far back for some reason. I took it apart and
reattached it through the front holes with a wood screw and large washer. It works great now.

The back of the armrest pad has no seam and the front has the sewn seam vertical??? Shouldn't it be turned around with the seam in the back??

It's was a crazy design. Why would you have it set back 3" from the spot you rest your arm. My wife thought I was nuts taking apart the new armrest as I took it out of the shipping box.

But once I did the fix she actually agreed it was in a much better spot in the Jeep.

Default Quadratec Armrest

I had the same problem, but picked up the Quadratec armrest before I found the Rugged Ridge version of the same thing. Made of neoprene, available in a couple of colors to match stock interiors. Adds about 2.5-3 inches of padding to the top of the stock console and really helps out on long road trips. It bolts to the four torx fasteners on the sides of the stock console.
