Crawl box
Hi,
I'm new to this forum and need to know if anybody did a V8 swap with an 8L90 or 10L90 and tried to install a crawl box ( Eco-box or other ) on top of the rubicon T-case or an Atlas4. Adapters for installation are not an issue, but electronics are. The Tazer mini do correct for 1 gear ratio, but not several ones as in a ' doubler' case.( or am I wrong? )
I'm selling my JK for a JL and might do the V8 swap if not possible to add a crawl box to the JL.
N.B.: It's not a debate on wether I need a crawl box or not...
Thanks,
Karim

Why not just install the Atlas 4 and remove the Ruby TCase. Even if you do the V8 swap the Atlas works behind that as well. Quite a few on this forum have Atlas cases with gearing and large tires.
If you do the V8 conversion in the JK all that limp stuff, traction control etc goes away as the Jeep and Chev do not talk in that manner. Mine is like that. My crawl LO range works just like a stock Jeep. But you need the expertise and years of research that companies like Motech did to make all that happen. There is another but they use the Motech Mocan module as well.
My Jeep is a 2008 was a 6 speed manual. Don't need a crawl box as tranny has 4.6 1st gear with TC slip and simply uses the 2.72 transfer case. Sold the Rubicon 4:1 unit as they don't adapt well to the Chev transmission. Transmission is Chev 8 spd auto.
