cylinder 1 misfire code HELP
so went to drive my jeep this afternoon and it sounded really weird. plugged in my super chips and boom, get a cylinder 1 misfire code (PO301). gonna take it to the shop tomorrow to hopefully get it fixed quick. Do you guys know what are the most likely causes? hoping maybe just needs to plugs and wires.

Didn't pull the plug to take a look?
That's one of the easiest to get to as well, pop it out and look for irregularities. |

Misfire codes can be caused by more things than any other code. |
Check plug first. I could be simply a failed plug or bad plug wire.

Yea I'm going to replace the plugs and wires today, I'm about to hit 100k so it's needed anyway. If that don't work I'm gonna have to put it in the shop

Anybody know the size of the ignition coil bolts that hold it to the bracket? Need to buy a socket for it

There was a recent thread on here with another member going through the exact same thing. Do a quick search. The culprit was a bad spark plug which was actually the last thing he checked after replacing the wires, etc. You gotta pull the plug and inspect it.
search "misfire" or "spark plug* ...should come up |
Welp I replaced the ignition cool and now it works great, the coil is what went bad
