Default Dana 44 help please

Can someone please tell me if a Dana 44 From a 2016 Jku will fit my 2013 jk sport? I have an open end an the 2016 has a limited slip.

The housings will bolt right in. The gearing inside will most likely be different. You will have to get one or both axles regeared so that they match.

Yup, if the gearing doesn't match, it's not worthwhile. If the gearing matched, it would be barely worthwhile to swap em IMO.

+1 on Resharp's comment.

We, on this forum, know we burst lots of peoples' bubbles when we make these comments but I think I can speak for most here and say if you ask a question you get pretty sound advice from many people who have usually made the same changes in the past and can speak from experience. Positive comments usually saves time, money or heartache for the poster.
