Death wobble
I had a severe death wobble last fall after driving over some rr tracks at 35. The tracks didn't run perpendictcular to the road but on more of an angle. I took my jeep in to the mechanics that installed the lift, my ball joints were worn out after 38,000 miles on the lift. They blamed the heavy tires wearing them out? I have a 2dr Rubicon w/ome lift, adj. trackbar and 34" toyo mts. I have 8,000 more miles on the jeep so far so good it hasn't happened again. I thought I was going to crash my jeep when it happened.

I had the same issue. The bolt holes that secure the front track bar on both ends became elongated due to bolts becoming loose. I had to have a heavy duty washer welded onto both sides of each of the mounting brackets to fix this issue. After this fix, I still had a slight wobble from time to time. I then checked all of my bolts for the upper and lower control arms on the front and rear and found two bolts on the front control arms loose. I then tightened all control arm and track bar bolts both front and back. This cured my death wobble. I also noticed my steering damper is shot. Will replace it with after market one soon.
