Default Death wobble FIXED, but.....

I had death wobble as a result of mudding. I had pounds and pounds of wet and dry mud clogged into my wheels. I cleaned it all out and the wobble is gone. But now I am getting a new problem. I have a squeaking sound coming from my front drivers side wheel. It comes and goes. Originally thought there was a small rock or something between the the pad and the disk, but I power washed it all out. Then I thought, maybe a ball joint or something got damaged, but I don't see any damage.

Anyone have an idea what it MIGHT be?

I think there is still some dirt trapped somewhere or something needs to be greased. Ball joints won't squeak. I'd just drive for some time and see if it goes away.

first off, i think it should be clarified that you DID NOT have death wobble. the mud in your wheels just threw the balance of your tires way off. regarding your squeak, i would check your axle shaft u-joints. you may have one with bearings that are going bad.

I don't think you would get a DW from mud, a wobble from mud throwing your tires out of balance yes.

I only called it "death wobble" because I didn't know how else to describe it. Still somewhat of a newbie. I'm a year into owning my JK.

That's why I love this forum. So much knowledge!
