Hey David, what's the deal with this statement? I just emailed Solid yesterday and checked my mail this morning and had a reply.
Here is their website:solidaxle.com/index.htm

I think most of the aftermarket diff covers are a big improvement of the factroy tin one. I think the ARB is the way to go beause of the dipstick. If I have any doubt as to whether I have got any water in my diff I can pull the dipstick and easily see if it looks like oil or milky.

I thought I was done with my pre-Moab modding!! I've got the bumper and winch, the rock rails, the engine/tranny skid, the evap skid, the lift, the tires, etc. Are you honestly telling me I have to spend a couple hundred more bucks for Riddler diff covers?

I mean, be straight with me here guys, am I asking for trouble with stock diff covers or what???

I have Rough Country, they are only about 40 bucks. they are good enough for what I get into. It would take quite a bit to mess them up.

Hey, Moab is nothing but small and mid sized rocks on bigger rocks. I'd be inclined to put one on the front diff.

It's pretty cheap insurance for an area of your Jeep with very expensive components (gears, bearings, axles, etc.).

X2!! I've seen four diffs battered through the stock diff covers in my lifetime - including two of my own. A good cover is worth it's weight in 1) figuring a way to keep going, and 2) finding a way to limp home. Lots run with the stock covers, and lots run without winches. If you 4-wheel at all (especially on your own) it's only a "when", not "if"!
