Default Do I need New lugnuts?

I am buying new rims (MB Wheels Chaos 5) today, and it says that I need new lugnuts.

I was planning on using the stock ones. i am putting 35s on the new rims, and this is my DD, and dont do much hard driving with it..

Do I need the new lugnuts or can I save the bucks on them?

thanks guys!

RLTW!!

It's all about the shape of the cone on the lug nut.
If you have access to the wheels/lug nuts before purchase, take one of your lug nuts and compare it to the ones they recommend you use.

Also, before you mount the new wheels, see if you still have the retainers on the lug bolts; the things that hold the rotor in place on the assembly line.
If they are there, remove them, as they interfere with many aftermarket wheels.

I used my stock lugs with my black rock wheels when I put my first set of 35's on. I ran those for 2 years with no issues. When I bought my newest set of tires I went to a different place (Town Fair Tire) and they refused to use my stock lugs. They said it was company policy to not reuse stock lugs on aftermarket wheels regardless if they fit or not. So depending on where you are getting your tires, keep that in mind. For the record, my stock lugs fit my wheels perfectly and are basiclly the same shape as the aftermarket ones I was forced to buy.

I also have the mb chaos rims. I do not believe the stock lugs will work only because the the socket is too big to screw them in. The holes are quite small.

I never tried so I could be wrong. However I do like the gorilla lugs because they all require the tool to take off.
