doors off mirror brackets..
 

I am so ready for doors off again. i want to relocate mirrors so its easier to drive instead of lookin over sholder for right side and moving rear view left to see left side.... i really like the rugged ridge ones Except for the pics i saw apon search of the pass side.. whats up with the no vision?!?! has anoyone fixed or found a way around this?? can i just run a driver side mirror?? i dont want to have to put blind spot mirrors on them. any help before i waste money on these?? i realize i can rig a tow mirror or something but i wanted something perminant that does not affect door opening or vision.. any thoughts??????

I have the RR personally I think they suck. They have been on about a year, are rusting and have horrible vision. If i can find all my parts, I'm going to put them back on the doors, and buy some mirrors which can be put in the posts when you take the doors off.

I have the RR too. They aren't that bad for me. No rustying in a year and a half.

Doors on you can see the drivers fine but the passenger is almost not visible at all.

Doors off you can see the drivers fine and the passengers not too bad but still not fantastic.

The only option from what I've seen so far is to actually get new mirrors like the above said. I think I'm just going to remount them back and forth with my hardtop.

thanks for the input guys.. i totally dont like the pass side situation... i think i will just fab something up with a pickup mirror or something like wol did and alot of others. any more thoughts ppl??

do u legally need both mirrors on?? i ran last summer with no mirrors and never got stopped. it was just a pain and sometimes, like merging on rt 80, dangerous!:eek2:

I too would love a solution to this passenger side blind spot! I'd love to be able to use a product like the RR relocation bracket to permanently attach the mirrors to the body and never have to worry about them again...doors on or off! I saw a guy on this forum buy Harley Davidson mirrors that inserted into the door hinges on both sides....looked good and seemed to function well.

i am suprised the maker has not fixed this design flaw.. in my head it seems another half inch or so extended out more would fix it.. but idk.

I have the RR brackets and I have to say that I used them for a while last year with no doors but had to take them out and place the mirrors on the doors again. The visibility on the passenger side is almost non existent and when my wife drives the JK is even worst, she is shorter than me and has to pull the driver's seat forward which makes it even worst. I'm gonna have to find another solution. :dontknow2:

X2 with Bennyhana. I would go with the brackets from DieTech Offroad. I had the RR ones and didn't like them.

It may depend on what state you live in whether or not you need both. I prefer to have both.
