Default Draglink

I was rotating my tires and did the usual checks of the suspension and steering components today. I noticed that the rubber boot on the draglink has a tear in it. A small one but non the less a tear. It is on the passenger side on the tie rod under the castle nut. My question is should I change it? I do not have any wobble or shimmy or even a clunk.what are your thoughts?

The boot is to keep the grease in and water out. I'm guessing this is the stock part? So no grease fitting? I'd at least keep an eye on it, it's only a matter of time before it starts wearing. Maybe get a gun with a needle fitting and see if you can get some grease in there, might buy you some time, or just bite the bullet.....

Check it for vertical play using a pair of channel locks. It's not necessarily bad but a rip in the boot will accelerate wear

So I'm preparing myself for this to eventually fail. Would you guys recommend changing just the tie rods or replace the whole thing? If so, what brands are recommended?

I replaced my drag link, tie rod, track bar, and ball joints a few months ago and went with Synergy for all of them.
Well made products and not bad on price. I would recommend them (and when I was doing the research on them a lot of others recommended them too)

I've seen videos and read write ups on how to do it. I've done ball joints and am fairly useful with a wrench, but is there a catch? Is it really as straight forward as it seems? Any suggestions? Is taking the wheels off necessary?

Replaced mine with the Synergy last weekend. Installation was a breeze, although centering the steering wheel afterwards can be a little frustrating. Highly recommend the Synergy..good stuff!
