Steering Stabilizer Suggestions
Hello all,
This is my first post to JK Forum.
My Rubicon Express steering stabilizer gave out on me, and I'm hoping for some suggestions on a new one. I've been looking at the Bilstein 5100 (# 24-158428).
Is this a good one? Anything better in a similar price range? Any suggestions are much appreciated.

Did you happen to read the end of the description?
As mentioned, the stock stabilizer is fairly well known to work just fine. If you choose to spend a bunch of money on something fancy or shiny, that's up to you. And if you need an extra heavy duty stabilizer to cover up a driveability issue caused by other failing components, you are probably better off putting the money toward fixing that issue.
NOTE: THIS IS A PRESSURIZED STEERING STABILIZER, AND WILL LIKELY PUSH YOUR VEHICLE TO THE LEFT WHILE DRIVING.

Hahaha! Wow. I hadn't read that. THANK YOU. That would have been annoying.
I'm not opposed to replacing it with OEM. I just figured I need something because the one I have on there now is dumping oil out of it.
My steering components are all in decent shape. Definitely don't need the stabilizer to bandaid anything.

that is one of the very few parts on our jeeps that the factory, or the cheapest thing out there, is perfectly fine. unfortunately, 99.9% of the other stuff leaves much room for improvement.

I just installed Teraflex's 9550 VSS on mine, I was also replacing the tie rod and drag link. But when I pulled the steering stabilizer off it was really easy to push/pull it making me think it was pretty worn out.

Also, if you don’t mind me asking, what tie rod did you choose? I just replaced my drag link, and plan on soon replacing the tie rod, but haven’t decided on what brand of tie rod.

I also went with the Teraflex 9550. I've had it on for just over a year now and it's worked great. Absorbs bumps and potholes on the road much better than the old leaking Rancho one I had on there.

On our Jeeps I've run the stock ones, FOX and now the Falcon 2.2. The Falcon is a nice piece, needed it for the beefier tie rod.
But the stock one works just fine for stock tie rods.
But the stock one works just fine for stock tie rods.
